I was just wondering if anybody knows if there is something worse that could be mistaken for hypothyroidism. I am a 24-year-old male and I know quite a few people who have been diagnosed with it, but they are all older women. Is it odd that I have been diagnosed with it? Could it be mistaken for another, more serious, disease. Any feedback would help. Thanks!
I got a blood test and it shows that my TSH is a bit elevated. My neck feels a lil swollen and I feel a bit hyper. Is this overreactive thyroid? I also have shortness of breath at night when I am going to bed. But not asleep yet.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 6 days ago though I’ve been symptomatic for a while. I don’t understand the mechanism or pathophysiology that causes my hands to swell.
before two years i was diagnosed as hypothyroidism pt and i was given altroxin as treatment now days my dr said i have hyperthyroidism also given altroxin as rx how is that ?

I am 34 and was wondering what some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism are. My family has a history of slow thyroid and I was wondering if I should get tested? I heard there are several different blood tests to get, but many doctors only call for 1 or 2 and it is not a complete assessment if you don’t do all of them. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
I’ve been told that my boy who aged 2 weeks has congenital hypothyroidism (his thyroid gland is not functioning). He is now on hormonal replacement therapy. I need to know the experiences from other families, how they cope with daily treatment? how their children grow up? etc.
My son is 12 and dealing with an overactive thyroid with severe weight loss. He may also be showing small signs of Graves Disease with leg rash/itching. I am meeting with the doctor next week, but I wanted to have some info on treatments before we go. (serious answers only, please!)
What about Beta Blockers?
What kinds of food should he eat?
I haven’t been to the doctor yet because I don’t have insurance but I’ve been having most of the symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Thyromine not thyroxine. Thyromine is made of herbs and thyromine is a prescriptions only drug.
Especially the depression and fatigue that goes with it.
My thyroid is swollen and I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism, but according to my doctor, my thyroid levels are fine. I know there are some differences when looking for type 2…..
I am trying for a baby but i got hypothyroidism and high prolactin. I am taking Parlodel and Euthyron 50 to balance my hormones and additionally I am taking Royal Jelly but I am afraid that Royal Jelly may slow down the effect of the medicine.
